It`s in your nature - it`s not your fault

"A scorpion and a frog. Ever heard of them?"
"......"
"A scorpion wants to cross a river, but he can`t swim. He goes to a frog, who can. And asks for help.
Frog says: I`d give you a ride on my back, go`d go and sting me.
Scorpion replies: It won`t be in my interest to sting you because I`m on your back. So we`d both gonna drown...
The frog thinks about that for a while and accepts the deal. Takes the scorpion on his back, braves the waters. Halfway over he feels a burning speer in his side. And realizes the scorpion has stung him after all.
The frog cries out: "Why did you sting me, Scorpion?? Now we both will drown..."

Scorpion replies: "I can`t help it. It`s in my nature."

"Means what it says. A scorpion does what`s in it`s nature."

Same old story. They lie in bed. She`s sad. She`s crying. She asks him "Do you really love me?"
"Of course", he says. "I do..."

Why would someone ask that and decide a few weeks later, after that question, to end it all for ever?
